When Silence Isn't Golden

I would like to thank all of you for the outpouring of support and love that you showed my family and me. In the beginning, friends and family brought dinners to us and came over to play with Jeremy. I can’t even describe how grateful we were to have some help—especially since it was so difficult for me to admit that I needed help.
I can’t imagine going through this alone. However, I now know that many of you did go through this alone. It’s almost like I joined a club—a club that is full of mothers that have lost babies somehow and kept it secret. But once I joined the club, I learned just how many of my friends have experienced a tragedy and endured it alone. I wish I could have been there to support you. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers now.
Everyone says that you should not announce your pregnancy until the end of your first trimester, in case you have a miscarriage. But if you have a miscarriage, you need friends and family to surround and support you. I pray that none of my friends or family have to journey through a loss like this, but if you do, I hope that you reach out to those near you for support and love.

Reading "Freight Train"

Scary Boo at Gilroy Gardens

On Sunday, we went to Scary Boo at Gilroy Gardens. They had lots of Halloween-y decorations and music. The older kids could collect clues all around the park and earn a treat at the end. Even though Jeremy isn't quite ready for that, he had a great time pointing out pumpkins and riding the rides.
Gilroy Gardens is a really sweet little children's amusement park located in Gilroy (about 45 minutes south of us). Each time we go, Jeremy is big enough for a few more rides. So it is exciting and new each time! Jeremy really loves the "gardens!"
Scary Robots?

Jeremy riding the fire trucks! He "drove" the entire time.

This one he actually could steer, so he swerved in and out the whole time.
And then wanted to ride again!

Running through another maze.

These are flying fish--so Jeremy said
"Up and Down. Up and Down. Up and Down." throughout the entire ride.

"I want choo-choo. Jeremy turn!"
His sentences are getting longer!

He rode on a horse this time!

I guess we wore out the baby again.

Driving these cars has been his favorite ride since the very first time we went.

Happy Just Because Day!

What is Just Because Day? It is a special, completely random day where Grie (my mom) decides to buy all of the grandkids new bikes! Thanks Grie! What an awesome surprise!
Jeremy's New Bike on the West Coast

Hollyn and Weston's New Bikes on the East Coast

This was Jeremy's very first attempt at riding.
Christian helps Jeremy to get the feel of gliding.

Riding on the track!

MyGym's Halloween Party

Jeremy's MyGym class held a Halloween party. He gets to wear the costume that Grie made 5 times: MyGym party, Moms Club party, Googleween, a birthday party, and Halloween night! This doesn't even include all the times that he wears it around the house! So, I am sure there are several more fireman blog posts coming in the future...but I just couldn't resist posting all the cute pictures from this party! It's so cool how Halloween lasts several weeks when you are little.

Ready! Suspenders, MV fire dept logo, hat, pants with red stripes.
Set! View from the back
Go!
All set! Jacket, boots, red hat.
Christian took a day off of work, so he got to come and play too!
Walking in like he owns the place
Jeremy always finds a ball to carry around

The whole costume!
"Dada,  wear it, hat!"
"Momma, jump with Jeremy!"
He climbs to the top, turns around backwards, and lowers himself down through the hole.
He will be ready to help in a fire.
Showing off his jacket from the back
Checking out the joint
Bubbles! And sooo many kids.
This fireman can climb any ladder.
Completing all the obstacles.
Checking it all out
Where's Jeremy?
Showing Dada his gymnastics skills
Hanging is the best
But falling is better!
Hmmm? Why not.
Whenever we suggested leaving, Jeremy said, "More! More..." Until eventually, he just laid down on the floor....completely exhausted.

Ready for American Idol?

Row Row Row Your Boat

Ring Around the Rosie

Baa Baa Black Sheep

Monster Rainbow Medley

Monster Boogie

Grie made Jeremy's Halloween costume--a fireman! He wears it all the time and loves stomping around the house in his boots. He was so excited that when MiMi video-chatted with him, he got all dressed up and danced around. (yay technology!)
