I would like to thank all of you for the
outpouring of support and love that you showed my family and me. In the
beginning, friends and family brought dinners to us and came over to play with
Jeremy. I can’t even describe how grateful we were to have some help—especially
since it was so difficult for me to admit that I needed help.
I can’t imagine going through this alone.
However, I now know that many of you did go through this alone. It’s almost
like I joined a club—a club that is full of mothers that have lost babies
somehow and kept it secret. But once I joined the club, I learned just how many
of my friends have experienced a tragedy and endured it alone. I wish I could
have been there to support you. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and
prayers now.
Everyone says that you should not announce your pregnancy
until the end of your first trimester, in case you have a miscarriage. But if
you have a miscarriage, you need friends and family to surround and support
you. I pray that none of my friends or family have to journey through a loss
like this, but if you do, I hope that you reach out to those near you for
support and love.
