On Saturday, we went to Uesugi Farms down in San Martin to visit a pumpkin patch! We went with our friends Jeff, Lauren, and their son Levi. We had so much fun picking out pumpkins, riding the train, petting the animals, and wandering through the corn maze. There was lots more to do there--this place was huge.
We had to stop to take a photo in the parking lot, because Jeremy was soooo excited. He kept jumping up and pointing at the giant pumpkin, shouting, "See that! See that pumpkin!" He was so excited when we finally got inside! He ran across the lawn to "see that pumpkin!"
Jeremy stopped to smell the flowers. They were perfectly in bloom. I wasn't fast enough getting out the camera to show him actually sniffing each flower one-by-one.

Here we are in the petting zoo! Jeremy immediately grabbed some hay off the ground and tried to feed it to all the animals, saying "Snack!" They were definitely not interested in eating the same food that they could get off the ground out of his hand. But they were still really tame.
We still love goats!
And Levi seems to like goats too! But he was most excited about the bunny rabbits.
Jeremy found guinea pigs! They were a bit scared of him as you can see from them running away.
Then we entered the corn maze! We were given a map (cheating) and some questions to answer at 10 number points (very hard, so not exactly cheating).
Butterfly valley was in the center of the corn maze. It included tons of beautiful flowers and butterfly sculptures.
Levi fell asleep in the corn maze. The lady at the ticket counter did warn us that the maze was over 2 acres, but we made it through!
"Heavy!" He found the biggest one to try to pick up. It won an award.

Jeremy chose this tiny pumpkin and carried it all around the pumpkin patch. He kept it through the time it took us to find a big pumpkin, pay for them, say good byes, and walk all the way back to the car. We asked him to put it on the seat next to him in the car. He fell asleep on the way home. When he woke up, he said "Pumpkin, where are you?"And carried it into the house.

That looks like so much fun! I think I'm going to have to take Oliver to this farm before the season ends!
